a beat box almost sent me to the hospital

i (f22) am not much of a drinker, i’m more of a weed girlie. But last night I decided to pick up a beat box and 2 buzz balls to drink while playing video games and unwinding after getting back home from school and a stressful semester. I’ve had this exact combo many times before, and it’s enough to get me tipsy without giving me a crazy hangover the next day. Well I thought the beat box tasted a little funny, but decided to drink it anyways bc i’m dumb i guess. Woke up this morning drenched in sweat and throwing up. Couldnt hold anything down for most of the day and threw up over 5 times like once an hour. I didn’t have any other symptoms of a hang over and i’m hesitant to believe it was alcohol poisoning. Cause again i’ve had this exact combo before and have been totally fine. I was home alone and it was really scary and I almost took myself to the hospital cause I was so dehydrated and couldn’t drink water and it was making it so much worse but right as I was getting to that point things slowly got better on their own with proper rest and some gatorade and crackers once I could stomach it

i’ve looked online it doesn’t seem like beat boxes really have an expiration date or anything so i’m baffled as to what might’ve caused it. Like I said it tasted funny but not in an extreme way. Im totally okay now but again it wasn’t a normal hang over in the slightest. I felt fine other then my insides reeling, like not even a headache until the dehydration rllly started to kick in. I did end up calling the liquor store I got it from to give them a heads up that they might have a bad batch or something but they seemed totally clueless too as to what it could’ve been

also throwing up this much is not normal for me at all. Out of my entire life since I was a kid i’ve only thrown up 2-3 times (excluding being a baby obvi) and I threw up more today then the rest of my life combined. And I felt fine for the most part when I went bed, but also I was drunk so who really knows lol
