Why do snakebites (beer mixed with cider) generally go cloudy at the bottom and have floaty bits?

My understanding based on vague old school beer knowledge is that maybe the yeast in the beer is interacting with the sugars in the cider and causing coagulation but I am lost..

This has been annoying me for ages as I used to know the science behind it and it’s gone (I blame all the snakebites haha) but if anyone knows I would love to be informed…
