Alcohol replacement
Anyone tried out mixing baclofen + pregabanol to attack both gaba A and B receptors, its more safe, much cheaper, not addictive in the same way.
In theory it sounds like a perfect alcohol replacement?
Both baclofen and pregabalin hit the same systems alcohol modulates – but from different angles. • Baclofen = GABA-B agonist → gives the calming, muscle-relaxing effect (like alcohol’s body high, anti-craving) • Pregabalin = indirectly modulates GABA-A and calcium channels → gives the anxiolytic, euphoric, social disinhibition effects
Together, they target both GABA-A and GABA-B, like alcohol does – but without the same toxicity, neurodegeneration or hangover.
Some studies even show baclofen reduces alcohol cravings, while pregabalin reduces social anxiety.
The combo is dirt cheap, low tolerance build-up if used correctly, and way less addictive than benzos or alcohol.
