Hoping yall might have some advice on alcohol after taking librium.

31f, 120lbs, 5’2. Healthy, with slightly low BP.

I was recently given librium as a pre-routine check anti-anxiety effort (I can’t take other routinely prescribed acute calming pills, per prior experience with most of them causing dizziness. Librium is the cheapest that does’nt). It was 25mg and a single dose.

This was on the evening of the 6th, and id like to still go about my normal routine…but yeah, we all know the dangers of the drug that’s so often used for withdrawals. Still, I’m not in danger for withdrawal from either librium or alcohol, but would still like to respect the possible dangers and be as sure as possible before drinking again.

I plan on having drinks with friends tonight or tomorrow, but can hold off if I still may be in the danger zone.

From what I can see, librium should be “out of my system then” and have passed its relatively long half-life BUT I also read that it can stick around as it breaks down (to put it very simply lol)

As I haven’t taken much (this wasn’t a series of pills/no taper/etc) should I be good? I’ll of course have people around and be mindful of how quickly I’m starting to feel the effects of it all.

It’s difficult to research this, as it seems to really depend on the dosage, amount, and time spent taking it. Hard to find a solid answer for such a low and singular dosing. Most results seem to be centered on people tapering.
