A labor analogy: I drink for taste, not affect/effect

Many have heard this I’m sure, the, I DON’T DRINK TO GET HIGH, I DRINK FOR FLAVOR/TASTE.

You’re offered a job and payment once done; $5 dollars lets say. With each new completed task, the amount increases. You’re asked: why did you take the first job? Because I was offered money. Whether for $5, or $500, you’re motivation remains identical. Be it a sip, or 500 sips, you’re working towards the same goal.
