Dominican Mamajuana

I have a bottle of the dry mamajuana mixture sitting in my pantry from a trip last year that I want to use. What are the recommended brands of liquor for this? For wine, I prefer a more fruity taste

For the rum, I’m looking at brugal brand but not sure whether to get brugal 1888, brugal anejo Ron superior or brugal extra viejo. I’ve never tried any of them before, but generally don’t like a rum that’s too heavily spiced. Which has the milder taste of the 3?
