How does 2 wine bottles a day sound way worse than a six pack a day?

Just to throw it in the world wide web because a „six pack a day“ in the evening seems quite normal. Theoretically 2 bottles of wine are almost the same amount of alcohol as a six pack. But „2 bottles of wine“ sound directly like „ohh, definitely severely alcoholic“.

If you’re comparing two 0.7-liter bottles of wine (12% alcohol) with six 0.5-liter beers (5% alcohol):

Two wine bottles (of 12%) contain 168 ml of pure alcohol (84 ml per bottle).

Six beers contain 150 ml of pure alcohol (25 ml per beer).

So, in this case, the two wine bottles have slightly more alcohol than six beers (168 ml vs. 150 ml).
