Can I quit cold turkey?

I’ve always been a casual drinker but about 10 months ago after a abusive relationship I started drinking a lot. It got up to a pint a day of jack Daniels.

I want to quit and I just wanted to stop cold turkey but I just saw it could be dangerous, I’m just not sure if I drink too much to quit cold turkey
