What is the best inexpensive cognac, in your opinion?

I’ve had a lot of damn good, expensive cognacs. However I’d like to find one that isn’t super expensive, that could work a regular sipper a few nights a week. So I ask what, in your opinion, is the best cognac under $40 per bottle?
