Drinking on a cold?

Hey everyone, just wondering what the deal is with drinking while I have a cold. I’ve been dealing with this for a day and I feel the symptoms of a cold but no temp. I’m supposed to go over to my girlfriend’s house later tonight and drink but does that fuck with me cause I have a cold? I took an advil at 7am
