is it normal if it burns?

I don’t drink alcohol. I’ve only had two sips in my life and both of them left a chemical burn in my throat. one of them as a sip of wine of around 12% and the other an orange flavoured beer of 1.5% or so. I was just wondering if it’s something normal everyone experiences when they drink or if I might be allergic. and a follow-up question to this one, does anyone know any good alcohol free beers? I love the culture surrounding alcohol but as I mentioned before, I can’t stand the taste of it.
