Drunk vs High Question

Does alcohol just make you retarded when drunk? I’ve never gotten drunk, only high on Cannabis oil.

Cannabis on optimally high doses kills my memory, distorts and alters perception, and of course causes euphoria. Maybe a bit of anxiety but nothing too dramatic.

However, even when I’m EXTREMELY high, I’m still me. I wouldn’t do anything that sober me wouldn’t do. I still think and rationalize the same as when sober. Biggest setback mentally is memory. Can’t do anything complex because of constantly forgetting everything.

With very drunk people, it seems like they aren’t themselves anymore. They make stupid decisions, do stupid things, and just look and sound stupid. They seem more irrational and reckless.

What’s it like being REALLY drunk? Especially in terms of your mental state. What causes the stupidness. Explain how and why. Help me understand.
