Shortness of breath and chest pains after drinking
Went daydrinking with my friends yesterday, we shared ca. 1L of 17% mixed vodka, some ciders as well as other drinks, all pretty sweet stuff. Anyway I did get drunk, but not to point where it couldn’t be slept off (or so I thought). I went to bed at around 10 pm. It’s pretty hot outside currently so I had trouble falling asleep. After some time I noticed that my lungs started to sound off. Kinda like that time I had bronchitis as a kid. Had very short breath and my chest hurt a lot, so at some point I decided to go to the hospital just in case.
Writing from the ER rn… They had me inhale something that made the breathing better, but I’m still feeling chest pains. At least my vitals are great apparently.
I believe this has actually happened to me before but I thought it was because of my friends excessive smoking next to me. But nope, apparently the histamine in the alcohol gave me the equivalent of an asthma attack.
They gave me an antihistamine drip now, yay 🙂
Side note, one of the cleaning staff tried to slip me his number while the doctor was away, as if I wasn’t feeling shitty already. Like I can’t even evade you since I’m strapped to all this equipment, thats just not fair play man.
