Limoncello shelf life

What is the average shelf life for a limoncello? (Taste doesn’t matter) Opened and unopened. I want to make a special bottle with my Nona (who is going to pass soon) for special occasions down the road, graduations, weddings, etc. So just want to know how long it’ll last for, also are there any alternative homemade alcohols that could last longer? 🙂
