i gotta question

so I remember hearing this from a buddy of mine a while back and ive always wondered if it would work. say youre drunk driving and get pulled over, if i were to throw my keys and then start chugging vodka could i still be charged with opperating the vehicle while intoxicated? they wouldnt know if i was drunk before drinking the vodka right? serious question i havent been pulled over yet but if i do ill know what to do if this works.
