What to do

So my husband is going to cut back on buying alcohol (key word “buying”) and I was wondering if I buy alcohol in the future with my money should I stick to stuff that is cheaper and lasts me longer but that he is less inclined to drink, should I do a little splurge and do something that would last us a short time and share with him, or should I do a mix of the two? I mean, I’m not ONLY going to buy for myself, but I also don’t want to make every time I drink be a special occasion where we do something like go out or share a bottle of wine at home. The main issue is that he drinks more than I do quantity wise and if I keep alcohol in the fridge it disappears within a couple of weeks unless it’s labeled do not touch or is something he doesn’t want (like beer) and sometimes I just want to keep a beer around for a bad day at work or such.

I guess the TLDR is: Should I buy some booze that my husband won’t drink when he is cutting back on buying alcohol (due to price) or should I always get him something so we have something to share?
