Urgent Help with family member

Hi all, Recently a family member of mine has recieved a court order to undergo the utilisation of an ankle monitor that measures the alcohol content in your sweat, they have been drinking incredibly heavy for as long as I can remember (upto a litre of hard liqour a day) and is already prone to alcohol induced seizures, they have made everyone aware of this including their probation and the people who installed the tag, yet no one cares.

They will not prescribe librium or any other medication to help with the side effects of stopping alcohol cold turkey and im worried about their health, I have no idea what subs to even post this in but any help is appreciated, UK based if that helps
