Why is my brain refusing to take shots?

Recently I’ve noticed that I’ve been psyching myself out when it comes to taking shots. It’s getting quite obnoxious because yesterday I was trying to drink with my dad and what should have been a quick drink, turned into about 2 minutes of me trying to hype myself up. I’ll go to take the shot but I notice the back of my tongue will involuntarily block my throat making it so I can’t swallow unless I force it. I’m not new to drinking and I’ve had a shot of 151 which wasn’t fun but I was able to take it normally but now even with 80 proof, I’m struggling to even raise the glass to my mouth
