What liquor did I drink?

Hi everyone! Last week I went to a bar and my boyfriend ordered me a rum Diet Coke. They didn’t have rum so they gave me this other liquor that started with a p? They served it with grenadine and Diet Coke. I wanna order it again, so I need help figuring out what it was. It was very spicy, like a rum on steroids.
