AMC Embracing Snoop’s RTD

Movie house chain AMC Theatres on June 18 expanded its selection of adult beverages at more than 300 locations with the inclusion of Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop for a limited-time offer. The ready-to-drink beverage, inspired by Snoop Dogg’s 1994 Dr. Dre-produced hit “Gin & Juice,” launched earlier this year and comes in four gin-based flavors: Citrus, Melon, Passion fruit and Apricot.

The Gin & Juice RTD is a great fit at the AMC MacGuffins bars, where AMC guests can get a beer, glass of wine, or cocktail to enjoy while they watch their film, the company says. “We could not be happier to partner with these two legendary icons, and feel that Gin and Juice By Dre and Snoop is the perfect pairing for all of the summer blockbusters this season,” said Jon Augustin, AMC’s director of food & beverage strategy.

AMC’s previous adult-beverage collaborations with celebrity brands such as Ryan Reynolds’s Aviation Gin and Dan Ackroyd’s Crystal Head Vodka, have proven popular with its moviegoers. Gin & Juice is gaining some traction among “eatertainment” operators: Earlier this month Chicago-based mini-golf concept Puttshack launched a collaboration with the RTD brand.
