First time drinking. What should I get?

I turn 21 tomorrow. I moved away from my friends and family, so I’m just planning on buying some stuff and chilling at home. I’ve got like $30-40 bucks to spend so what should I get? Also, should I go to a liquor store or just walmart or something?
