Lose voice after one glass of alcohol? ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Hey all! I am not a big drinker, in fact I probably drink once every two months if that and it will be one/two max glass of alcohol, either blood orange cider or a cocktail I donโ€™t touch strong spirits as I canโ€™t stand the taste and I drink very slowly. No matter what happens I completely lose my voice after one glass of alcoholic drink, I will then stick to soft drinks for the rest of the evening as I donโ€™t want my voice to worsen while all my friends continue getting merry and I remain pure sober. Despite then sticking to soft drinks my voice will continue to become more hoarse and by the end of the night my voice is completely gone and I wonโ€™t be able to speak at all for the next couple of days.

Does anyone know why this might be? If youโ€™ve had any experiences similar or know someone who has the same issue as me. I really have to emphasise the fact that I am not a big drinker at all, I hate being drunk so when I do go out again itโ€™s rare and itโ€™s 2 cocktails maximum and my voice will just be completely gone!

I donโ€™t know whether itโ€™s something in the alcohol or i have something wrong with my throat when it comes into contact with alcohol? Any guesses or ideas as to why would be most helpful!

Thanks!
