Why alcohol makes me think faster?

When I’m sober, for example, it takes me like 15 – 60 minutes to come up with an answer to a text message, but after a beer or 2 I can just answer with not much thinking. I feel like my brain works slower when sober.

I don’t feel like I overthink what to say when sober, I just can’t think of any words to use, my head empty. But when drunk I can just imagine many different replies to answer with and come up with them immediately.
