The dentist and high BP

The only time my BP shoots through the ceiling is at the dentist. He told me that I’d have to get it under control before he could do the deep cleaning procedure. Would a shot of alcohol do the trick an hour or so before going there? I drink wine on occasion. No hard liquor.
