Pain in upper abdomen after drinking certain alcoholic drinks
It almost feels like bloating mixed with acid reflux, but it’s too low for acid reflux and no antacid helps. It happens usually when I drink sweet things like pina colada, painkiller, or blue Hawaiian etc. it’s also happens not every time but most of the time with my favorite whiskey and Dr Pepper. Then it happened one day after one beer on the golf course. I don’t think it’s drinking it too fast either. I want to find a way around this because I can’t enjoy drinking like I used to like when I go to the beach or something I have to sit down for about 45 minutes to wait for it to go away. Literally when it happens I feel like I have to lay down. Sometimes raising my arms above my head seems to help a little. It’s right in the upper abdomen just below my sternum. Sometimes it feels like I could pull the trigger and be fine but I hate that. Every search pulls up gastritis and I don’t drink excessively at all so I don’t think that’s it. Especially the past year or so since this has been happening. Oh yeah not to mention this hasn’t always happened either. I’ve never met or seen anyone with something similar so does anyone here share the same symptoms and may possibly have a solution?
Here’s a summary the types of drinks and what they do
Fruity/sweet cocktails: every time
Mixed drinks: sometimes
Beer: rarely
Wine: N/A don’t drink it
