So I want to infuse some rum with candy, but I want to make sure I’m doing it right.

As far as I’m concerned, I just drop the candy and rum into a mason jar and let it sit for a week, right? Or is there other steps I need to know?

Am I supposed to burp it once a day or something? Or do I just let it sit? And do I refrigerate it, or keep it room temp?
