My alcohol tasted like water

So I poured myself a drink of Bacardi and fell asleep before finishing it, so it sat out in a glass cup for a few hours.

I eventually found that same glass a bit later after I woke up the next day and decided to taste it because it was a decent amount left in the cup but I was surprised to find it tasted like water.

I thought I might’ve been drinking too much but the other alcohols I tasted all tasted how they were supposed to.

Ik that when exposed to air alcohol can have a different taste however I found nothing about it tasting like outright water.

What was even crazier was that because it tasted like water I didn’t notice how much I actually drunk and got really drunk from that.

I’m kinda new to drinking so idk what that means so if someone can explain I’d appreciate it

Tdlr left out some Bacardi for a few hours, came back to it tasting like water.
