Is it normal not to be able to sleep for several days after a night of heavy drinking?

I (m33) have never been a huge drinker, marijuana has always been my drug of choice; but I’m on a 2 week vacation, and I drank a whole bottle of Whiskey to myself on Wednesday night to which it is now SUNDAY MORNING. I Only felt slightly hungover strangely enough the next morning (After also not being able to sleep). But since Wednesday I have not been able to get 1 wink of sleep AT ALL. I’m having some sort of sleep apnea mixed with classic insomnia and I’ve never experienced this anomoly before.

It’s getting to the point where its now ruining my vacation entirely. I only get to go on vacation twice a year at most and its usually at Christmas time so this is a huge bummer. I’ve taken all the Melatonin and Tylonol PMs that I think my liver can withstand. I’m in a foreign country and I don’t want to leave the Hotel in this state or much less go to the ER. But its getting to the point where its bothering the person I’m with and I really need help. I’ve looked it up online but the correlation between alcohol and sleep seems to be unclear and when it is a problem it seems to have something to with old age.
