What type of alcohol for my own drinks?

I’m interested in making my own canned alcoholic drinks and selling them, I know I need permits and stuff, but I want to know how drink companies actually put alcohol in their drinks. Do they put 100% pure ethanol alcohol? I was thinking about using everclear but it’s banned in 14 states. Could I just use plain vodka?
