How to stop “the spins” when drinking

After I drink a certain amount I get the so called “spins” where the entire room is spinning even with my eyes open, even if i’m moving around. Is there a way to stop this because as weird as it might seem, blacking out is on my bucket list and i physically can’t drink anymore when the spins start and I throw up and go to bed.
