beer sometimes tastes like straight up booze

anyone know why this could happen?

i always drink the same brand of beer, and it’s generally consistent. usually you can barely taste alcohol in it (despite it being 6%, a bit stronger for a beer), the flavor is “blended”, it tastes like proper beer.

then once in a while, i open a can and it just tastes like you poured booze into it. the distinct vodka taste. like you grabbed a beer and tried to make it stronger by just pouring some in and ending up with it not tasting too good.

can it just be like, a bad batch that noone else notices? is it just poorly mixed? am i imagining things??

has anyone had this happen?
