Husband and alcohol

I’ve been watching my husband’s health decline over the past few years due to a diseased liver caused by an unhealthy relationship with beer. He now is jaundiced, has ascites, pleural effusion, low appetite, difficulty walking. He’s only 60 yo. He will see his hepatologist on Monday, after a years absence due to covid. We’ve been married for 24years, and my goodness, I never dreamed it would end like this. I am angry with him for letting his health get to this point. I just wanted to get this out there. He was warned years ago about elevated liver enzymes, but ignored his doctor. He’s a very successful businessman and strong type-a personality. If he had heeded his doctor’s warnings, and my nagging (lol), maybe it would be much different for him. Thanks you guys. I appreciate reading all the many posts on this subject. Looks like I’m in good company 😊
