red face

Sometimes, but not always, when I drink, my face goes red and blotchy and warm. I wanted to know if this is normal. I have been tracking it for a while, happens more frequently now than it used to but there doesn’t seem to be any rhythm or rhyme to it. Sometimes it happens with beer, other times it doesn’t, sometimes wine, other times not, rarely happens at all with spirits. Only lasts for about 20 minutes and then stops even if I continue drinking and doesn’t happen again for the rest of the night. It’s so weird. I’ve googled alcohol flush reaction but this looks different, doesn’t make me feel unwell and doesn’t always happen. Any ideas anyone??
