Wine Tasting = Racing Heart at Night

I live in a town that has a lot of wineries so I do a lot of wine tasting. Every winery closes at either 5pm or 6pm, so all of my drinking is day drinking. I don’t usually drink a ton (3-4 drinks’ worth of tastings) but I’m often sleepy when I’ve been done drinking for an hour or two (usually around 7pm). I don’t mind the day drinking too much because it gives me plenty of time to rehydrate before bedtime, but I can never sleep after drinking because my heart is racing. I know alcohol usually makes you more tired, and it does for me too, but only right after finishing. A few hours later and I’m beyond wired. Other than drinking more water or drinking alcohol at a different time, is there anything I can do to stop the racing heart? I’m curious about maybe taking like half of a Benadryl? I know that can cause issues if taken too close to drinking as it’s a cns suppressant but if my heart is racing, do I really need to worry about anything being suppressed? Sorry if this is terribly faulty logic, I’m just trying to figure out if there’s a way to sleep after wine tasting that’s not going to kill me.
