I catch a cold or flu within one day of drinking, almost every single time…
I’m a 21 year old healthy kid, not over weight, no serious health issues. When I was younger I would drink all the time and never had this happen. But I’d say for the past 2 years I’ve noticed this and in the last year it’s gotten unbelievably consistent
For example 2 nights ago I drank 1 truly tall boy with my friend, first time drinking in a month and a half because I’m just kinda scared. Boom, last night felt the feeling in my throat, (keep in mind no hangover I don’t usually drink much at all) and this morning I wake up and I am sick.
This isn’t some weird allergy(I don’t think), this isn’t because I magically happen to go out every time I drink and blah blah blah. I literally get sick 80% of the time I drink within 2 days
What’s even weirder is I only get sick maybe 8 times a year, and I can track down 6-7 of those to have started the day after a rare drink was had. This day is the final straw where I can truly undeniably connect this together. The thing is this is so strange and weird that it would seem to highlight some underlying health issue. Maybe it’s a histamine allergy but I’m not feeling sick from the alcohol it’s self it’s more that it immocomprimises me to catch whatever virus is closest by and I am 100% sure this isn’t a coincidence
I can hardly find anyone else on the internet this happens to, any help in finding out what the hells wrong with me and maybe how to recover from this faster would be much appreciated, the worst part is usually I get these lingering colds that come with severe extremely painful sore throats lasting weeks and keeping me from my profession which is singing, making this even more awful
