How long before minor surgery are you supposed to stop drinking alcohol?

I have a 9 hour rave today and was told yesterday morning that my surgery has been brought forward to a week from today opposed to April. It’s a septaplasty which is relatively minor.

I’ll be sober today but recently I’ve drank a lot for friends and family’s birthdays + uni events and I’m really worried about the affects it will have.

How long before surgery are you meant to stop drinking?
