Is it crazy to drink shots of vodka solo at room temperature?

I like vodka as the hangover is good and the calories are low, even compared to single malt. And I don’t always manage to keep it in freezer and chase it with pickles or whatever. Speaking about non-social occasions here. Is it insane to do manageable shots of vodka in a whisky glass at room temperature with just cold water to chase?
