Best way to quit?
I’ve always loved a social drink.
I would drink 2-3x per week (mainly weekends). Anything from a few drinks to when I’m out with my mates and could drink anywhere from 12-15+ drinks. I think a lot of people drastically underestimate how many drinks they actually consume when they’re out for a whole day/night with their friends.
It’s these times I’m trying to limit/cut out. As I find as I’m getting older (late 30s) it really messes with my mental health, I become pretty anxious in the days afterward.
I don’t necessarily want to quit alcohol completely as I really enjoy a nice cold beer or a glass of wine after a day at work, or over some nice food on holidays. But going into 2024 I really want to cut out (and even eliminate) these big “sessions” on alcohol.
Anyone else understand or feel the same way?
