Two questions

What are some decent alcohols to like, get an experience of like “This is what whiskey is, This is what brandy is,” etc? I don’t really have a lot of experience outside wine and vodka.

I tried E and J brandy recently and thought it was fine, but I don’t really have a good baseline to compare different things to, and I feel like 12 dollar brandy probably isn’t a good representative.

On another note, what’s a good moderation amount of alcohol to drink a week?
