I’ve been an Absinthe fan for a while, should I give Jäegermeister a try?

My go-to drink is Absinthe and Dr. Pepper, I’ve always heard that Jäeger is like a sweetened Absinthe with other herbs up in there, Absinthe is outrageously expensive at my local liquor store and if Jäeger on the rocks has a good chance of being enjoyable to my pallet I’m more than willing to give it a shot.
