I turn red and hot when I drink.

Hi,

I’ve started noticing that when I have a drink I get warm, then my face turns red and I get too hot. My heart rate goes up and I just end up quite uncomfortable and have to splash water on my face to manage it.

What’s wrong with me?

At first I thought it was the cider, been loving the Scrumpy by Gwynt-y-Ddraig lately, but last night I tried swapping to a real ale, my long term favourite kind of booze and I had the same thing. Halfway into my first pint and I was roasting.

The setting is a pub. Jeans and a shirt, not overdressed, and then we had some food, fish and chips in my case. I have wondered about separating the food from the booze to narrow the experiment but haven’t had the chance yet. I don’t drink all that often.
