disorientation for over a week after drinking?
(F) 21 years old and relatively healthy, but when ever I drink enough to get tipsy or drunk (not black out drunk), I always end up with this awful disorientation that used to last only a few days, but now can last from 10-12 days. the disorientation (if that’s even the word to use) , makes me feel like my motor skills are slower, I’m late to react to things, I can’t tell if I’m hot or cold, and my pain tolerance goes up? there’s a lot more it causes but it also makes me unable to drive since it becomes so hard to focus.
i don’t know if this counts but I take medication for adhd every morning, which says it can exchance the effects of alcohol, but these experiences I get, I used to still get (on a lesser scale) before I started these meds.
just curious if anyone else has ever had this experience, or if there’s anything that can be done to stop it. its annoying to be the only one who’s unable to drink when you go out with friends, so I always cave, but then I have to deal with feeling like a zombie for nearly 2 weeks and it’s just not worth it. i know I could just not drink, and avoid this all together, but it’s going to be difficult for me to do.
any advice would be appreciated
