freshman health teacher said this about alcohol

he said alcohol is bad for teens because teens never just have one drink to relax theyre getting wasted and playing drinking games and stuff.a kid asked if it would be ok for a teen to just have one drink a day to relax , and the teacher said theoretically if a teen had the willpower to do that it would be fine and actually healthy for the heart.

I was taken aback. does his statement have any validity?
