Bartenders, what’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone getting into mixology?
So, for context, I (21f) did a small bit of research and realized it’s…a lot cheaper to make my own drinks at home for myself and friends. Bartending sounds like a decent job for someone like me possibly in the future after I get myself some medical help.
I put in so much effort. Bought all the things, wrote down the recipes on flash cards, etc. even bought edible glitters for 2 signature “house” cocktails. I even wrote down the counts for a certain type of pour.
I can’t help but feel like no matter how prepared I am, I could still improve or know certain little tips.
Preferably help from women bartenders as I am one of those (lol) and want to do my best at possible future orientation.
