Why do I never black out

College aged guy here. Been drinking since early high school and have only ever one one experience where I’ve “blacked out”, and even then I remember some details. I always hear stories from my friends about how they wake up the next morning and have no clue where they were or what they did. At this point I almost don’t believe them because I’ve never had that kind of experience. This past weekend I finished off a whole 750 mL bottle of vodka in about an hour and although my memory from the rest of the night was very hazy, I still remember where I was.

I’m not necessarily looking to black out, just very confused as to why it never happens to me
