Why the hell does “sugar” make you more hungover?

Drank last night & got the urge for a Snickers bar after dinner, this morning BOOM one of the worst hangovers I ever had! I was sipping whiskey w/water back I rarely get hungover tbh. All things point to that fucking candy bar!
