Hearing someone else/myself in my head while intoxicated

So, unlike other people, I very rarely use language to think. I only do so if I’m quite consciously thinking out what I want to say. Otherwise, my thoughts contain no language. But when I’m drunk or high, especially when I’m drunk, there’s someone else in my head speaking (speaking in my head, with no actual sound, but using actual sentences to communicate and not just thoughts). I know it’s me, but it’s different then my actual self, and I end up having a verbal conversation with her in my head. It’s always very comforting when it happens, but when I’m sober I recognize it as abnormal and uncomfortable, and I don’t know if I should actually be concerned.
