does alcohol smell?

QUESTION IS : Can you be 100% Sure that someone smells like alcohol or is it just a hunch

So, i was in my room cleaning then i saw a month old hidden Absolute rasberry vodka bottle, had like 15% left in it, i decided to chug it quick and throw it away.

so when i was done i went to the living room and i was talking with group of relatives, then 2 of them discreetly told me that i smell of alcohol, i denied but i don’t know if i convinced them.
