A question. After drinking vodka, my voice sounds extremely fucked up, why is that?

So I’m a party-goer and whenever I go to a party, I like to just drink Smirnoff (sometimes ems mixed with other things.) after a while of drinking my voice is completely messed up, it turns super croaky and is painful to speak. No one else at the party is the same, I’ve even had this happen when I’m not at a party where I have to be loud and raise my voice. I’m talking not even a hoarse voice, beyond that, I end up sounding like a bloke

Anyone know why this is? I absolutely love vodka but it makes my voice so messed up, even the day after my voice is still raspy and painful.
