Rapid heartrate after drinking
I’ve noticed when I begin to sober up after a few shots, my resting HR while sitting is within the 110-130 range for like 6-10 hours as the alcohol leaves my body. However, when I’m actually intoxicated, my resting HR isn’t that high and within the <110 range.
I was wondering if this was normal, and why my HR seems to be the highest after the alcohol’s already started to leave my body. One time I also fell asleep drunk and woke up 3 hours later and my HR was like 140 for like 30 minutes before calming down to 110 for the next 6 hours.
I’ve also noticed my heart rate can be elevated after I eat, so maybe it’s related to that too due to consumption of carbs. Already had ECGs and stuff and doctor said my heart was fine, so just wanted to make sure this was normal.
